Severson captured the very essence of a special time in the history of surfing, no wetsuits, no leashes, just hard core surfers who loved surfing.
Severson's vision came true, surfing captured
the interest of people all over the world, this book truly illustrates those early years of modern surfing. I was very fortunate to be included in this book and even after 55 years I still reflect back to those wonderful times, this book will always be the gold standard of surfing photography.
