Absolutely brilliant book by an acknowledged expert on the subject. The book is a mine of information, written in clear understandable terminology. If you are looking after an old church, or indeed, any older building, this book should is a "must read" before starting work, or allowing anyone else to start work, either. All aspects of repair & conservation of mortars, plasters & renders are covered in great detail. I recommend this book & it should be compulsory reading for all people charged with the maintenance of older churches etc.
