Moving on is about my life as a child, when I first came to the UK with my family and how much things change once we got here…….

 

My family and I never saw face to face with anything, I was the only one in a family of 17 that had my own mind, and would never hesitate to say what’s on my mind. I was very different from all of them and not one of them liked having some one different around. I was a outsider in there eyes.

 

But the mental abused didn’t just stop there, it when on for many of years

Until I had enough…….

About the author (2008)

My name is Alexanda-Awan James. I was born is Iraq, and moved to United Kingdom. I was put in a care home at the age of 13, and have been in the care system for about 4 years.

My dream is to help children like me who have families that don’t love them enough, or at all, I want to give hope to all the children out there and help make something of their lives.
