in the follow-up to Mr.Tanen's ties,Mr.Tanen loves his ties, but when his school runs out of money to build a new playground, he decides to sell his ties to raise the needed money Mr.Tanens ties where all gone, after the last tie he had made enough money.

About the author (2003)

Maryann Cocca-Leffler is the author-illustrator of numerous books for children, including Princess K.I.M and the Lie That Grew and Princess Kim and Too Much Truth. She grew up in Everett, Massachusetts, and majored in illustration at the Massachusetts College of Art. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Eric, and two daughters. When not her studio working on a new book, you can find her digging in the flower garden or visiting a school near you!
