Network+ is a networking certification developed by the Computer Technology Industry Association (Comp TIA), a non-profit organization sponsored by many of the big names in computing (including Compaq, Digital Equipment Corp., Microsoft, Novell, and US West). Network+ is designed to certify the knowledge of networking technicians with 18 to 24 months IT experience, and means that the holder can configure and install network client software. Network+ is vendor-neutral and product-neutral, covering a wide range of networking products and technologies.

Network+ is the logical next step for successful A+ candidates, taking them from certified competence in PC hardware (A+) to certified competence in networking (Network+).
