## Network Control and Optimization: Second EuroFGI Workshop, NET-COOP 2008 Paris, France, September 8-10, 2008, Revised Selected PapersWe are pleased to present the proceedings of the Second Workshop on N- workControlandOptimization(NET-COOP)thattookplaceduringSeptember 8-10, 2008, in Paris, France, sponsored by the EuroFGI Network of Excellence. Thanks to the generous support of EuroFGI, we were able to combine c- tributed sessions with an outstanding list of invited plenary speakers: Thomas Bonald, Vivek S. Borkar, Pierre Fraigniaud, Ayavaldi J. Ganesh, Takis K- stantopoulos, Alexandre Prouti` ere, R. Srikant, Sacha Stolyar, Laurent Viennot, Milan Vojnovic, Damon Wischik. The workshop received 27 submissions which underwent a thorough review process. The Program Committee selected 13 of these as contributed papers. The proceedings include in addition two invited papers in connection with two of the plenary talks. Continuing a young tradition, the workshop aims at developing research on control and optimization of the Internet, ranging from performance evaluation and optimization of general stochastic networks to more speci?c targets such as lower-layer functionalities in mobile networks, routing for computational grids, game theoretic approaches to access control, cooperation, competition and - versary capacities in diverse environments. |
