About the author (2006)

Dr. Sayed Mousavi is a former research scientist of NYU Medical Center.He has done extensive research about the complications of pregnancy, particularly hypertensive disorders of  pregnancy and preeclampsia- eclampsia. He has been involved also in researching spontaneous abortion , infertility and assisted reproductive techniques.


His medical education was from 1980-1988 in Ahvaz- Iran , coinciding with a time period that this country had the highest rate of population growth in the world. The huge nomber of pregnancies he encountered provided him with the best opportunity to observe and investigate the roots and etiology of preeclampsia-eclampsia.
