The Break down voltage in kV with a standard distance of 2.5 mm between electrdoes for transformer depends Oil's dieltric strength. In normal cases differnt version appears when the results. We had a classical expample of 60 kV per 1 min which yieled the PI. But we faced the difficulty of getting 10 ppm.
A standard corelation of break down voltage needs to be included irrespective of Specifications adopted by the countries. BS,IS & American Standard.
Also, the SF6 pressure of 7.0 bar has been recoomeded irespective of the switchgears used for AIS/GIS. In practical application 7.0 is the maximum pressure, 6.5 bar for alarm & 6.0 for trip. This needs to be standaridised. The 7.0 bar pressure of SF6 is applaicable for Disconnector switches for the GIS.
The 420 kV GIS with AIS Bus bar shall have the support Bus Post Insulators cantilever strength normally of 8 kN shall be indicated as practically used.
