About the author (2012)

John Foster has had a life-long involvement in secondary and tertiary education, as teacher, lecturer, software writer and inspector. He speaks four languages and was awarded the City of Bochum's Medal of Honour for services to international relations. Recent membership of Sheffield University writers' groups has helped inspire his writing. He lives and writes in the centre of Sheffield, where he was born, and has two children and three grandchildren.
