Linda Gottlieb, MA, is a personal and cancer exercise trainer, wellness educator and active lifestyle coach, with an extensive fitness career including fitness consultant for luxury hotels and past director of a 30,000 square foot gym. Along with traditional personal training, she specializes in telephone/email coaching, helping her medically challenged clients improve their health and life with exercise. Ms. Gottliebs comprehensive training and education (BA in Psychology and Masters in Instructional Design) prepared her to motivate clients to maneuver through roadblocks and stages of behavioral change. Linda received the Presidential Sports Award in 1988 and 2003, numerous industry certifications from IDEA, ACE, and AFAA, and is a member of The American Institute of Fitness Educators, The Association of Fitness by Phone Coaches and Reebok Instructor Alliance. Her credentials include ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer, and Master Fitness Motivator. One of the first nationally certified Cancer Exercise Trainers sanctioned by the American Council of Sports Medicine and the American Cancer Society, Gottlieb is currently on staff at Yale University as a cancer exercise trainer and is the first certified Cooper Institute Active Living Every Day facilitator in Connecticut. As a frequent speaker, she champions daily activity and founded FITChicks in 2007, a monthly sisterhood meeting in CT.
