Moira Lovell is a poet with a heady gift for allusion and an impeccable sense of the sensuousness and subtleties of language. This finely-crafted collection celebrates the sacred aspects embedded in the everyday events and actions of our lives, and offers transcendent view of our inevitable mortality.

Of all my poetry collections, this is my favourite. Moira's writing is accessible and exceptionally beautiful. These poems put into words moments of quiet reflection, appreciation or epiphany that many of us experience in life, but they do so without being cheesy, sentimental or overly emotional. The writing is well-crafted and the sentiments real. This is a book that is close to my heart :)
