About the author (1977)

Karen B. Winnick is the author and illustrator of several books for children. For nine years, she taught art history to elementary school students. Her paintings have been exhibited in local galleries, and her poems have been published in magazines and anthologies. Karen lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband, three sons, three dogs, and an assortment of fish.
