Penelopeby M.J. Davis is the story of a girl who was orphaned at a young age.  After living alone in the woods for a while, Penelope's brother comes to find her and builds them both a home.  Penelope ultimately marries an Indian named Painted Pony who lights up her life with humor and love.  After Painted Pony's tragic death in a buffalo hunt, Penelope gives birth to his son, whom she names Little Eagle.  She raises him lovingly to respect the circle of life.

About the author (2010)

M.J. Davis is passionate about writing and is an avid reader.  The mother of two grown children, the author is a graduate of the American School, and though now retired, has worked through the years as a waitress, secretary, and office clerk. Penelopeis Ms. Davis' first book.  She currently lives in West Virginia.
