About the author (2005)

George v. Pentz, son of Abram and Pearl Pentz, was born in 1920 and grew up on a farm near Ovid, N.Y. After high school, he took a correspondence course in journalism and fiction writing from the Newspaper Institute of America and later, more fiction writing from the Famous Writer's School. During the 1950's, George was a member of the Galley Slaves Ink in Geneva, New York. George married Majel Rich in 1962, and had two children. In the 70's, he gave up trying to sell his stories to magazines; publishing seemed too much money. George retired in 1991, after 45 years as Parts Manager for a Ford dealer. He resides with his wife in Lodi, New York.
