About the author (1985)

Upon completion of his degree, Dr. Gebelein taught at Youngstown State University where he received two "Distinguished Professors Awards." Besides teaching, Charles has also been very active in research where he has over 100 scientific papers published. Charles also has published over 15 various polymer chemistry texts through Phenum Publishing Corporation and the American Chemical Society. Charles has served on several American Chemical Society.

CHARLES E. CARRAHER Jr., PhD, is Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, and is associate director of the Florida Center for Environmental Studies.
