The FMS is a complex concept dealing with Optimization of processing, particularly time which distinguish it from Operations Research techniques. The Proceedings of the third ORSA/TIMS offers a group of papers on Research Models application-based, which gives the reader an excellent scope of models for optimization in manufacturing processing. Because the time is crucial, time-optimization is an alternative to use in main manufacturing plants and is perfect combining with simulation to obtain a plausible picture of the aggregate production planning. Its structure is quite helpful if you want a specific topic. I highly recommend it!
