After unearthing the truth about Collin's employer, Monarch Industries slaughterhouse, attorney Cam Burton prepares to make an unprecedented defense challenging one of America's most loved institutions, the meat industry.

To save his client from the death penalty, Cam has to make a compelling case that standard operating procedure is not only inhumane and dangerous for the animals involved, but is also destroying the lives of people employed by powerful corporations that view humans and animals as fresh meat.

Set amidst the tense summer of 2016 in a fictional small town in North Carolina, Quiet Man serves up a tale simmering with uncomfortable truths. Quiet Man was a Finalist for the Siskiyou Prize in Environmental Literature.
