Re-Made in the USA clearly lays out a reality that many Americans have been reluctant to recognize but must wake up to if we are to turn our economy around. Although Lipscomb goes into great detail analyzing the patterns of past societies which have fallen, China's 2000 year path to where the country stands today and the economic chain set in motion when chain stores like Wal-Mart purchase cheap, low-quality goods from overseas and we in turn purchase those goods, the book is quite readable and loaded with practical thoughts about how we may still be able to turn around the US economy by bringing manufacturing home--a change that is in all of our hands.
