Reminiscence Group Work for Older Adults who are Experiencing Depression: A Grant Proposal
California State University, Long Beach, 2007 - Depression in old age - 52 pages
The purpose of this project was to create a reminiscence group, identify funding sources, and write a grant proposal thesis to assist residents who are experiencing depressive symptoms at Tyrol Plaza, a subsidized housing complex. A literature review enhanced the knowledge and highlighted the growing number of older adults who experience depression. Also, the literature review helped the grant proposal writer to support the importance of a reminisce group. A search for funding was conducted via the Internet; the California State University, Long Beach, library databases; and private, state, and federal foundations. The proposal will be presented to the board of directors at Tyrol Plaza as the primary funding source.
