He couldn’t see them, but he knew they were there. Thousands of them! Rows and rows and balconies, filled to overflowing. Then a beaming spotlight pierced the darkness to focus on the stage. The audience, which had been so calm before, was now on their feet, moving hypnotically out of their assigned seats and congregating at the foot of the stage. The British announcer lost control of the audience as their anticipation grew. Then screaming into the microphone, he said, “Help me welcome to our jolly shores... thee one...thee only... RITCH MANN!”
