Rocky Creek Manor is a work of fiction inspired by actual nursing experiences. The story spans a period of just two weeks in rural southwest Virginia. It explains nursing home living, while ebbing into the supernatural and maintaining a "this could have happened" theme. Many humorous, dramatically sad, and heart touching events take place that spark many emotions, and eventually pull everyone closer together. Several staff members experience events that leave them feeling overwhelmed, while putting nursing ethics to the test. Janet Brown is the Director of Nursing; some of her decisions leave the state inspectors questioning her competence. There are many twists and turns that leave the reader second guessing everything. The book branches out into many stories, one of which is a love story blossoming in the mountains. Good is separated from evil, in an unpredictable, yet inspirational twist of fate.
