Denae Richmond is a young, black professional who transplanted to Atlanta, Georgia. There she has engulfed herself in a bubble-like existence, which allows her to survey her environment from a safe, barricaded distance without experiencing personal interaction. She becomes contentedly complacent in her aloof self-sufficiency. That is- until the introduction of a reformed, articulate ex-convict named Dennis, who shatters her snow globe reality with his unconventional approach to life. Over the course of their ill-fated relationship, Denae finds that she must confront secrets from her past and dispel her misconceptions about life, love and complexion. As Dennis challenges and demolishes many of Denae’s perceptions about wisdom and success, thus opening her mind and heart to the outside world, she finds herself caught in the unfortunate, web-like predicament of having to choose between a man with whom she has shared her bed and a man with whom she has shared her dreams....
