About the author (2011)

Patrick Coffey was born and grew up in England. He joined the British Navy and served during and after World War II. Afterward, he earned a medical degree, married, and immigrated to Canada with his wife. Now a retired general surgeon, he lives with his wife on the shores of Lake Ontario in Ontario, Canada; they have five children and ten grandchildren.
