Horde assassins manage to track Ardan down and launch a full-scale assault on the Temple. He fights for his life and is separated from his sensei when an explosion rips through the Temple. He is saved by Keegan Wulfston, an innkeeper's daughter. About the author (2006)

Miguel Guerra is an illustrator and writer, best known for his graphic novel series, Samurai Elf. He has also published short stories in major publications such as Heavy Metal Magazine. His writing skills extend to translating Spanish books and short stories for both Heavy Metal Magazine and NBM Publishing. In November 2007, his new all ages manga series, Alric the Wild!, will be available in stores. Miguel born in Madrid to a Spanish Mother and an American father. He grew up in Spain and later in Canada. He currently resides in New York City with his wife and co-writer Suzy Dias.
