Saskatoon: A History in Photographs

Front Cover
Coteau Books, 2006 - History - 188 pages
On the occasion of Saskatoon's centennial as a city in 2006, this coffee-table pictorial history celebrates the people, events, and edifices that highlight the city's history. To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the incorporation of the city of Saskatoon, Saskatoon: A History in Photographs documents the growth and the successes of the Hub City and its people in the 20th Century. A dozen chapters, written in a, accessible, popular style, each contain a written summary of a particular period in the city's development. However, as the titles suggests, the book is primarily pictorial - numerous photographs illustrate significant buildings and street scenes, and people engaged in social, political, and recreational activities.
