Twenty million Americans suffer depression; including almost 2 million African-American men. It is one of the greatest problems of our time and the second leading cause of disability among developed nations worldwide, including the United States where it costs $51 billion yearly in absenteeism and lost productivity alone. Some researchers believe depression may be the most disabling disease in the world.Say It Loud, brings some perspective to a problem that will only grow larger unless something is done immediately. |
