Self-assessment Library 3.4: Insights Into Your Skills, Interests and Abilities

Front Cover
Pearson/Prentice Hall, 2009 - Business & Economics - 131 pages
The self-assessment library has been created to help you to learn more about yourself so that you might become "enlightened." It draws on numerous instruments that have been developed by behavioral researchers that tap into your skills, abilities, and interests. This new edition has eighteen instruments that were not included in the previous version. This Library of behavioral questionnaires has been designed to supplement a wide range of college courses. These include: Introduction to Management, Organizational Behavior, Supervision, Human Relations, Interpersonal Skills, Introduction to Business, Careers in Business, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and Social Psychology. It works best when questionnaires are completed separately (rather than doing the whole set at one time) and when they're completed in sync with text readings on complementary topics. For instance, the two instruments on communication skills are best completed when you're reading and learning about the topic of interpersonal communication. Please keep in mind that these instruments were designed to be used in conjunction with a textbook and are not meant to be stand-alone learning tools. Exhibit 1 provides a general guide to help you match up the instruments with relevant organizational behavior and management topics.
