Shoo, Jimmy Choo!: The Modern Girl's Guide to Spending Less and Saving More

Front Cover
Sterling Publishing Company, Inc., 2010 - Business & Economics - 247 pages

Remember when Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw faced the brutal realization that she couldn’t buy her apartment because she’d already spent her money on a closet full of Manolos? Well, if Carrie had met Catey first, she’d own her co-op and be on her way to a comfortable retirement!

Catey Hill is the online money expert for the Daily News Web site--and author of this humorous, practical "girlfriends guide” to personal finance for 20- and 30-something females. (The ones with the designer shoes...and maxed-out credit cards.) With a hip, "I’ve been there” voice along with worksheets and exercises, she helps women evaluate why they spend, get out of debt, and create a savings and retirement plan that even allows for the occasional splurge. Among the topics she covers: student loans, car payments, investing, saving for a home, and more.

My husband and I are in our early 20s and we have two young daughters. Over the years we have worked hard to improve our credit to get our dream home, but it almost seemed impossible because of my husband's credit scores. My scores were better than his, but the ONLY and MAIN problem is that I do not have a job. I am a stay-at-home-mom/wife and a full-time college student. He has been doing so much to improve his scores, but nothing was getting done fast enough. But when we contacted HACKUNITED9 our story changed for the better. Hack United deleted all negative marks that has lingered on our report for years and raised my husband’s Scores a little above 800. This really helped us to get an affordable home with much space for our two daughters to play arround . My husband messed up his credit by being young and dumb and this was WAY before becoming a parent; he is now seeing how much it has affected his life. Besides making corrections on his credit report by HACKUNITED9 he has also learnt useful tips on how to be responsible with his credit. All these changes took place within 1 month. Contact hack United now on his direct mail ( HACKUNITED9 @ GMAIL . COM ) don’t fail to share your success story too.
