About the author (2006)

MaryAnn Foote is an expert party giver and is known to live a full and rich life as a single woman.  A busy single woman:  Dr Foote is a scientist who loves to write, and has written more than 200 articles for scientific journals and edited more than a dozen scholarly books.  She is an accomplished decorator, gardener, and cook, and juggles her holiday planning with teaching and writing.  Dr Foote was the 2005 recipient of the Swanberg Award, the highest award given to a professional medical writer.  A native of New Jersey, Dr Foote now lives in the Los Angeles area.
