'Solar Energy' provides a thorough introduction to the theory, design, installation, and maintenance of solar electric and solar thermal systems. The text opens with an overview of renewable energy systems, including key concepts, essential components, and the functionality of photovoltaic (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) systems. The authors then explore specific design strategies to help students apply these concepts and integrate components to engineer stable PV and CSP systems.
