About the author (2005)

PHILIP HARRISON is the Professor of Urban and regional Planning at Wits University, a profession that allows him to explore his interest in many different aspects of places across the world. He has travelled widely outside South Africa, but remains fascinated by the extraordinary diversity and beauty of his home country. This is where his heart is.
