Very poetic book about summer. Added bonus of find the ladybug on every page. Maybe too poetic for kids, definitely do not get the Gertrude Stein reference, seems confusing. Read full review

About the author (2006)

Phillis and David Gershator have collaborated on Bread Is for Eating, a Reading Rainbow Feature Selection. They live in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Sophie Blackall is the illustrator of Meet Wild Boars and Ruby's Wish. A native of Australia, she now lives in Brooklyn, New York, with her husband and two children.
