Targeting Guns: Firearms and Their ControlThis new paperback comprehensively reviews the research evidence on the links between guns, violence, and gun control, and reports results of the author's own research as well. In Targeting Guns, Kleck follows the line of argument and careful statistical inference of his earlier prizewinning volume, Point Blank, while updating the literature reviews and statistical information, and adding two chapters. |

Excellent
I would point this book as a must read if you're interested in real studying or even educating yourself in the area of gun control and victimization. This book will provide you with basic knowledge with out pushing author bias on your understanding of the problem. Actually it doesn't matter from which side of the spectrum you'll observe facts, as it appeared to me, most likely in the end you'll be somewhere in the middle - not pro guns, and not anti-guns. Plus - enjoy the read!
Excellent. A true academic researcher (as opposed to the emotional type which is common in this area). Mr. Kleck, writing in a clear and easily understood manner, compiles and explains the results of many studies, highlighting their valid conclusions as well as shortcomings and fallacies. Even if you dislike his conclusions, his arguments are vital to avoid repeating the errors of other studies (unless, of course, your real intent is fraud, not science).
