About the author (2008)

I've always been a big fan of fantasy art and literature. Now, in my own artwork, I have created a world that I call the Forest Eternal. It is home to many special creatures and races that have never known any other place than the natural beauty of the lush green Forest.

The paintings that led to this first book about the Forest have been created over the last two and a half years. As the paintings came to life on the easel, the storylines connecting them seemed to almost write themselves.

I have been painting in my new studio in Glens Fall, NY for the last three years after spending many years working out of my home. The studio has provided me with the opportunity to focus on my artwork and this book is part of that effort.

I live in Hudson Falls, NY with my wife Linda. We have three wonderful children, two of whom have brought some wonderful new additions to our family, and two incredible grandchildren. The characters of Paige Olevede and Jared Trueflight are based on these two personalities.
