That's my Story and I'm Sticking to It: Life in the Olden Days

Front Cover
AuthorHouse, Sep 22, 2010 - Biography & Autobiography - 84 pages

Raised in the fifties and sixties in a Swedish/Irish Catholic middle class home, this memoir is a happy compilation of stories that tells of traditions, first stitches and blowing up spiders in coffee cans with cherry bombs. Enjoy these and many more tales from the "good old days" and maybe a laugh or two.

I also grew up in La Grange and enjoyed the trip down memory lane as you were talking about the downtown stores. My first job (aside from babysitting) was at Kresge's lunch counter. And I remember vividly Michael Landon riding down Brainard at the parade route's end.
