Regardless of the Authors opinion. I love this cleanse and what it does for my body, mind, and spirit. I usually do the cleanse 2 times a year. However I had to write everything down and make my own excel chart and post it on my fridge. The only thing I don't do is the organic soaps. I find them to not work on my dry skin and hair. Darn! But hey it's better than nothing. Tea shops and super supplements is where you can pick up most everything except food. I lost 20lbs the first time I tried it and kept the weight off until I just had my baby. Now 3 months I'm hoping that 20lbs melts away again. We shall see!
Ive just started reading and I have found the book very interesting. It has convinced me to embark on a similar detox programme as my energy is blocked and I feel drained. However the comment at the beginning however took me by surprise, that parents who smoke do not deserve to be parents. I think this comment is absolutely ridiculous and put me off reading further. I do not condone smoking around children, but if you do not smoke near or around them as deemed acceptable by law then I do not think there is any need for sterilization of these people. I believe alcoholics, criminals and drug addicts do not deserve to be parents and I would not put smokers in this category. I found this comment offensive, very extreme and quite frankly has put me off the book as it demonstrated a degree of ignorance and generalization on behalf of the author. Also the comment about Cannabis is incorrect. I work in the health and social care sector and have numerous reports and findings on the effects of drugs and alcohol on the body. There is no evidence that Cannabis has any link to lung disease, however the tobacco used the the rolling method does, NOT the Cannabis. The effects of Cannabis are psychological at best. The author has not demonstrated an accurate understanding of the nature of drugs on the body. Get your facts straight then I am listening until then I will get my information from a more credible source.
