The Accidental Foodie
The Accidental Foodie features profiles of 23 of Neale Whitaker's food heroes from Britain and Australia (chefs, cooks, food writers and restauranteurs), based on personal interviews. Each subject has also provided four favourite recipes. Many of the recipes are introduced by the writers themselves, in their own words. Approximately half of the recipes are photographed, in colour. Each profile features two black-and-white portraits of the subject. All photography is by the internationally acclaimed photographer Petrina Tinslay. The profiled cooks and writers are: Jamie Oliver, Nigel Slater, Sybil Kapoor, Tamasin Day-Lewis, Claudia Roden, Darina Allen, Peter Gordon, Kevin Gould, Priscilla and Antonio Carluccio, Alastair Hendy, Terence Conran, Joan Campbell, Stephanie Alexander, Maggie Beer, Neil Perry, Donna Hay, Martin Boetz,, Bill Granger, Cherry Ripe, David Thompson, Jill Dupleix and Terry Durack.
