About the author (2003)

Father Albert J. M. Shamon Rev. Albert Joseph Mary Shamon is a dynamic pastor, columnist, author, teacher and radio broadcaster. He was ordained by the Diocese of Rochester, NY in 1940 and began his ministry as an Assistant Pastor at St. Thomas in Rochester. Subsequently, Fr. Shamon has held a variety of interesting positions. He taught at Aquinas Institute, St. Andrew's Seminary, McAuley College, St. Bernard's Seminary and was pastor of St. Patrick's in Victor, NY. In 1967, he served as Vicar of Education for Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen and Bishop Hogan. From there he was assigned as Pastor of St. Mary's in Waterloo, NY. Currently, Fr. Shamon is at St. Alphonsus in Auburn, NY. In 1993, he founded a Christian high school in Auburn, NY, called the Tyburn Academy, where he continues to teach and serve as Spiritual Director.
