About the author (2010)

PHYLLIS ANTONSEN has been a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and observer of the natural world. She still lives on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Her cabin rests among the trees beside a lake. If you were to drop by on a calm and misty morning, likely you would find her at the water's edge launching her rowing shell.
