About the author (2002)

Griffis began her writing career when she received her first diary for Christmas. Ms. Griffis is a master storyteller and word smith. Ms. Griffis is a former teacher of English at all levels, from fourth grade through college. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in speech, English, and creative writing and was a student of Foster Harris. She acted as a tour guide for the American Institute for Foreign Studies, where she designed a "Literary Tour of Europe." For nine years she owned her own publishing company, Levite of Apache.
