About the author (1990)

Tilmann von Stockhausen is the author of Gemaldegalerie Berlin: Die Geschichte ihrer Erwerbungspolitik 1830-1904, and of Die Kulturwissenschaftliche Bibliothek Warburg. Thomas Ketelsen is Curator at the Kupferstichkabinett of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden, and has written essays on the
history of collecting as well as on Dutch and Flemish art. Burton B. Fredericksen is the head of the Provenance Index; Julia I. Armstrong is research editor at the Provenance Index. Michael Muller is the 2000/2001 Getty graduate intern at the Provenance Index.
