ITs underlying theme ist the need to reconcile the approaches of these two disciplines towards ethnicity, migrations and social evolution since much of the current confusion regarding the "Aryan problem" stems from mutual misunderstandings of the subject matter, aims, approaches and limitations of archealogy and lingustics. The aim of the papers,thus, is to outline avenues to a solution of the problem, rather than to grope for the solutions themselves. |

An excellently researched book based on archeological and linguistic evidence.

This book another ranting on a theory of Aryan Invasion which has no literary, archaelogical or any other proof. All Indian scriptures, Buddhist, Jain, Brahmanical etc attest to an Indian origin of Aryans and Buddhism was Arya-Dharma par excellence. Due to their poor understanding of Indian civilization, Europeans should stop writing such books which obviously have racist and missionary overtones and are more political in nature than anything else. A waste of time.
