The Ludovissy Family from Clemency, Capellen, Luxembourg to Clayton County, Iowa, United States of America Michel Ludovicy was born in the small town of Clemency, Luxembourg in 1738. Clemency is in the southwest portion of Canton Capellen. Michels descendant, Peter Ludovicy, was born 10 May 1855 also in Clemency, Luxembourg. Peters parents were Jacques Ludovicy (b. 1826) and Susanne Arend. He married Mary Bouché and they had ten children. They emigrated in about 1891 and settled in Clayton County, Iowa. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Luxembourg and Iowa. |
