The five brothers are the following: John Bane Dewar (d. 1844); Angus Dewar (b. 1771); William Dewar (b. 1786); Duncan (Donald) Dewar (b. 1781), and Roderick Dewar. Roderick did not come to Canada but at least five of his children did. Includes information on other Dewar families who immigrated to Québec and Ontario. |
