The Nervous Disorder: A Place for Those Who Dwell Between Purgatory and Hell
‘The Nervous Disorder’ is based on notes written by Irvin ‘Seal’ Thomkins. These notes have been translated and transformed into ‘The Nervous Disorder’ by his nephew, Roland F. Clay.
Mr. Thomkins served with the 101st Airborne in the U.S. Army from 1970-1972. He was released with a medical discharge from wounds and mental stress. The term used to describe his condition was ‘a nervous disorder’. Mr. Thomkins remains married and has five children. He still resides in Detroit, Michigan.
