This book is a true story.  It is about a woman who overcomes different obstacles in life that women go through everyday.  Some names have been change.....but tells you about the struggles that she went through just to survive.  It also tells you how she has become the person she is today.  She tell you about her abusive situations and how it took her to find God to come out of them. Then after finding her God she still continues to struggle. The Over comer is a book about who was on drugs, became a call girl went through life’s depression but yet still maintain her mind. When you read and some can relate but other that cannot do sit in judgment and ask why didn’t she just leave or come out, because their are times when it’s just hard for a abuse victim to do. But look at her life as she leads it from her past to her present and becomes the over comer she is now.

About the author (2007)

   Mary Quick was born Mary Yvonne Grice to Dollie and William Grice in Philadelphia, PA. She is the oldest of five children. She graduated from Madison Park High  School. She attented Beacon College. She moved from Boston, MA to High Point,NC where she met her husband Everette Bernard Quick of five years. They now reside in Thomasville, NC. They have three childern Aja Grice,Shatrece Whitfield, and David Grice they have two grandchildern Jakai Whitfield and Jazmine Kidd, and soon another to be added.

        Mary Quick is an Evangelist of the Gospel. Mary attends Living Epistle Bible College where she has received her Associate Degree and she is now there for her Bachelors. Her favorite scripture is Psalms 37: 1-6
