About the author (2003)

Martin Rickard is the owner of Rickard's Hardy Ferns, which has won numerous gold medals at RHS Flower Shows, including eight consecutive golds at the Chelsea Flower Show. He is a past President of the British Pteridological Society and holds a National Collection for the National Council for the Conservation of Plants & Gardens. He writes and lectures on ferns and has been interviewed by BBC Gardener's World and Channel 4's Real Gardens. Martin lives in Tenbury Wells, Worcester.
