The Rapid Fat Loss Handbook: A Scientific Approach to Crash Dieting |
What people are saying - Write a review
Lyle very clearly states research based facts about what the body does and does not do during a diet, and how what we choose to eat either emphasizes or hurts the weight loss. The author himself claims that these "binge diets" are unhealthy but writes the book to show the most scientifically effective and safe way to do this. It's a great diet book beyond binge dieting. It shows how to figure out a healthy basic diet to add on to.
If you want hype and BS go somewhere else. I own a few of Lyle's books and they are all very clearly written, analytical & based on scientific evidence.
The book does not seek to motivate or inspire but to inform the reader. I enjoyed it, felt smarter after reading it & the methods are very effective.
Again - if you want some hippie feel good nonsense about alkalinity, lemon diets, cabbage soup etc. this is not the book you are looking for.
