About the author (2002)

Stephanie de Montalk has worked as a nurse and documentary filmmaker and has been a member of the New Zealand Film and Literature Board of Review. Her first collection of poems, Animals Indoors, won the Jessie Mackay Award for Best First Book of Poetry. She is also the author of Unquiet World: The Life of Count Geoffrey Potocki de Montalk.
