Guadalupe Fuentes Flores, Mexican Canadian, was born in Maria Ecatepec located in Oaxaca, Mexico. She is retired from teaching middle school and high school, specializing Pedagogy. She worked in several parts of her native state of Oaxaca and the Republic of Mexico.
She is married to Peter Josephy, a Canadian Landscape Designer. They currently reside in Quesnel, British Columbia, where she began to develop her artistic gift as a painter in 1990. Guadalupe Fuentes has written in Spanish, short stories and two books: La Fuerza del Silencio (The Strength of Silence) a novel about her mother, a deaf mute. The second is title El Tesoro De Butzow, a chronicle of her travels with her husband, Peter Josephy.
